Meet the new EDTL Student Interns

Key to ensuring the student voice is at the center of the EDTL project is our intern team, and we are always lucky to have new faces and new perspectives. Read on to meet our new additions to the team and learn more about the EDTL interns you will definitely be hearing a lot from over the next few months.

Our Intern team has been hard at work the past few months. Among the activity of the EDTL student interns was creating student resources and leading a webinar on the return to campus. Our EDTL Student Interns bring a student voice to the project, and contribute to EDTL resources in both a University-level and nationally. They are a vital part of enhancing digital teaching and learning and we’re always delighted to welcome so many new faces, from a broad range of subjects and stages of study, so read on to learn about the newest additions to our intern team.

Aishling Gillen – Maynooth EDTL Student Intern

Aishling is the newest Maynooth University Intern. She is currently studying Maths and Chemistry alongside Education and is in her 3rd Year.

She is passionate about teaching and learning strategies, especially with regard to using a blended approach of both online and in person teaching. Aishling is also involved in student representation and is keen on working towards encouraging students to have a say in their learning


Kyle Wright – TUD EDTL Student Intern

Kyle is a Year 2 Creative Digital Media student in TU Dublin Blanchardstown Campus. During first year, Kyle was the first point of contact for module leads and course coordinator for all class related concerns and helped create a digital social media forum for him and his peers to help get to know each other during an online term. He is a first year Peer Mentor and Class Rep and is passionate about equal education opportunities for everyone, regardless of socio-economic background.
Outside of his studies, Kyle is part of a rock band based in Dublin and is a keen golfer.
